About me

Hey, I'm Adam Watson, Founder of Watson Filmworks. From a young age, my passion has been capturing moments through video and photos. This passion drove me to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Filmmaking.

I've built a team of dedicated photographers and videographers who have enthusiasm and commitment to capturing the essence of your day, ensuring you can relive those memories time and time again with a huge smile and happy tears.

We also use special anamorphic lenses to create unique, visually striking footage with a true movie-like feel.

  • My style is natural, candid and true to the vibe of the day. I’m not there to turn your wedding into a film set or have you constantly posing for the camera. I focus on capturing the real moments, emotions and atmosphere as they happen, so your film genuinely feels like your wedding day and you get to relive all the small moments that flew by so quickly.

  • Absolutely! A LOT of couples tell me this. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, and I’ll give you a little guidance when you need it without making anything feel forced. The goal is for you both feel comfortable, enjoy yourselves (as it is your wedding day!!) and to forget about the camera as much as possible.

  • Yes I do for all my wedding packages! It’s a great way to capture the scale and atmosphere of your venue and surroundings, and I use it selectively so it complements the story rather than feeling like footage added just for the sake of it. The only time Drone will not be used is if location or weather doesn't permit it.

  • Definitely! I’m based in Perth and film weddings throughout the surrounding areas, but I’m also happy to travel for weddings across Western Australia and beyond. Get in touch with your location and I can let you know what’s possible.

  • Yes. Great audio is a huge part of telling the story of a wedding. I professionally record important moments such as your ceremony, vows and speeches so those words and voices can become part of your wedding film. I also make sure to always have audio back ups incase a microphone decides to quit!

  • I have plenty of backup wedding videographers who are my friends and fellow colleagues who are more than capable and know my style of filming as I have worked alongside them all. I would ask you if it is okay and lock one of my videographers in.
